Today, we are giving the spotlight to Apple Cider Vinegar!
This natural inexpensive product has been in existence as far back as 400 BC by Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine. He used it in his time.
Apple Cider Vinegar is formed by fermentation process. Bacteria and yeast breakdown the sugars in the cider. The sugars are first turned to alcohol and it further ferments to vinegar.
Ok so enough with the history and the process. What you really want to know is how does it help your skin glow, how can it get rid of your pimples and make your skin look younger. So let’s get into that.
Apple cider contains acetic acid, vitamins, mineral salts and amino acids. The pH of apple cider vinegar is similar to the outer layer of the skin. So it helps to restore and balance the pH of the skin and acid mantle. You can do this by mixing 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water. Use cotton balls to apply it on your face. Don’t rinse it off. This will help stimulate blood circulation and also help to minimize pores.
Apple cider vinegar provides antifungal properties and this helps to stop acne. It also helps to kill bacteria. To reduce acne, mix 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar with 5 drops of tea tree oil and use cotton balls to apply it on your face.
You can pour it into your bath water to help with sunburn.
Apple cider vinegar is so amazing that Hollywood stars like Scarlet Johannson and Hilary Duff have admitted to using it in their beauty routines.
Please note: Before using apple cider vinegar, do a patch test on your chin or under to ears to make sure you won’t react to it before using it.
