I am a firm believer that a beautiful skin starts from the inside. What you eat reflects on your body and skin. That is why I use a holistic approach for my clients during my skincare consultations. I focus on both the beauty products and their diet.

Certain foods contain vitamins and other nutrients that help in clearing up bad skin and evening your skin complexion.

Fruits and veggies containing carotene are great for getting that sun kissed glow. I took carrot juice consistently for a month and I noticed I got a golden hue in my complexion.

It’s really important to mix carotene fruits and veggies with healthy fats to get the most of it. If you are making a smoothie, just blend them with healthy fats like avocado.

5 smoothies for a healthy skin glow

1. Beets, Cabbage and Pineapple smoothie

Beet contains lycopene which maintains skin elasticity making beetroot an amazing option to slow down aging.
Pineapple contains vitamin C which helps with overall skin health and brightening of the skin.

You will need;

  • Beetroot
  • Pineapple
  • Cabbage
    Chop all the ingredients and put in the blender. Add water to blend well.


2. Apple, Lemon and Cucumber Smoothie

Apple helps to fight free radicals and keep the skin texture smooth and delays the appearance of wrinkles.
Lemon is rich in vitamin C and helps to naturally detox the body removing toxins and impurities.

As a matter of fact, by taking lemon water daily, you will notice a positive different in your skin tone.

  • Cucumber
  • 1 lemon

Chop the apple and cucumber and place in a blender. Also squeeze in the juice of 1 lemon. Blend everything together and enjoy,


3. Carrot, spinach, banana and ginger smoothie

  • Mint leaves

BLEND all ingredients together until smooth.
